#25 My Last Chemo. Hip Hip Hooray!

I had my last chemo this past Thursday! Hallelujah!  I woke up excited at five am and I couldn’t wait to put on my new T-shirt, which I had specially made for the occasion: a black T-shirt with white lettering that reads:  My last chemo is today. Thank You, Jesus.  On the back, there is a white cross with a pink ribbon hanging from it to resemble the cross with the shroud.

I was so excited when I got to the hospital that I took photos with everyone from my oncologist (Dr. S.) and his amazing nurse (Debbie), to the woman who best accessed my port (“Painless” Patty), to my chemo nurse (Deja) who is the best at everything, and the sweet “book lady” (Arlene) who visited me weekly so that I could choose a brand new book from her cart to take home.

I also took pictures with the women who greeted me at the reception desks on the first, fourth, and fifth floor every week (Nelly, Pat, Sandy, Regina, and one sweet young girl whose name I forgot).  These women always asked to see photos of Noah and commented on how much they liked my wigs.

Finally, I took pictures with my two favorites (Jessica and Olga), respectively, from “Fast Track” where I get my labs done and billing where I make my copayments.  Those two I know God put in my path for a specific reason.  I pray we stay in touch.  And there were many others…

If you like them, please share them.  I’m always praying that my journey encourages and blesses someone else who needs to know that the Lord is good, that He is alive, present, and waiting to have a relationship with each and every one of us, no matter what state we are in.

God bless you all for coming along with me on this journey.  Unfortunately, writing is getting harder to do since the neuropathy in my hands is worse and Noah is always in my arms and keeping me busy.  But also because I will be having surgery soon—on December 1st.  I’ll post a video update on the details of my surgery in the next day or two.  I’ll actually be posting more vlogs (video blogs), in general, from here on out until my situation improves, which is soon, in the name of Jesus!

Now, let me pray for you all…

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for all those who prayed for me thus far on this journey and I ask you, Lord Jesus, to bless them with healing wherever they need it.  I ask Lord, Jesus, that you would increase their capacity to handle any circumstances that they may be struggling with right now.  Lord Jesus, may you appear to those who have yet to know you.  Lord, reveal to them, that they are not alone and that none of us are so special that you would forget us because you are here for each and every one of us.  Thank you, Jesus, for getting me this far.  I know you will be with me on this next part of my journey and I ask that you would make my recovery quick, in Jesus name I pray, Amen.

In love and Christ,

Liz
